The First Class at Mahwah High

Until 1959 students from Mahwah attended Ramsey High School. However, beginning in 1957, the Township created its own high school -- a campus located on the Ridge Road. The first class graduated in 1960 and they are celebrating -- with other pioneers-- their 50th Reunion this year. This exhibit draws upon the extensive Howard Avery Collection of plans, photos and documents, to chronicle the creation of the High School and the oral histories and recollections of these early graduates.
